DIRKSCHNEIDER Tour to be extended due to huge demand – with an almost entirely new Setlist

His name stands for internationally successful German Metal music like virtually no other. His voice is the soul of such timeless hits as "Metal Heart", "Princess Of The Dawn" and "Balls to the Wall” and over this past year a multitude of rock fans have been more bedazzled than ever before – within the framework of the "Farwell to Accept” Tour, the iconic Udo Dirkschneider once more gave his all, and wrote yet another success story in the process: Worldwide, more than two-thirds of the shows were completely sold out. This Tour also led him to perform in some of the largest halls of his long career.

When the curtain fell on the European Leg in Solingen, Germany on December 18th and then fell again on February 4th in Philadelphia, USA for the complete Worldwide Tour, somehow it could not be the absolute end. Countless voices called for more, countless requests continued for many Accept classics that were not played on the last tour; that they would now fade into history was simply unimaginable.


Overwhelmed by such a response, and due in no small part to the huge success of the last Tour, it was decided that there would be a continuation in the Autumn.

But nevertheless, the Setlist as it was from last year’s Tour is gone for good – it will never be performed again. In 2017 Dirkschneider will go out on Tour with an almost entirely new Setlist!


"There are still so many hits left that we did not play the last time, which were constantly asked for.” commented Udo Dirkschneider “So, we simply want to do them on this tour”.

He will be accompanied once again by the Musicians of his current Band

U.D.O. – a successor to the recently departed guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen will be announced shortly.

So with this the German rock veteran is dictating the end to a large chapter of music history in his own unique way: The Solinger Singer who experienced his worldwide breakthrough at the beginning of the 80’s with the Band ACCEPT.

"I still have a huge amount of fun singing these songs live,“ said Udo DIRKSCHNEIDER. "They are part of my past and ultimately, also part of my voice. But still there is a moment in life, and in time, to close a chapter. There has been so much talk about ACCEPT, and so much speculation. I will now give my final musical statement, and for the duration of the complete concert, offer the people a chance to experience the songs and myself onstage together one more time.“


After the end of this Tour, Udo DIRKSCHNEIDER will only perform the songs of his current Band U.D.O.

With the group that he founded after his expulsion from ACCEPT at the end of the 80’s, the singer, during the course of his long career, has produced numerous classics such as "Animal House", "Timebomb" and "Man And Machine“.
